    本研究では、プライバシー保護の観点から監視カメラが利用できない療養環境において、ベッドや患者の着衣などに装着するセンサー、身体に装着するウェアラブルセンサーからの出力データを用い、事故の予防やせん妄発症の予兆検知を機械学習により行うことを目的とする。 ベッド面の面圧分布センサー上での10数名の実験参加者を対象として、寝返り、起き上がり動作の測定実験を実施した。動作前後の重心位置の左右および上下方向の差、動作中の左右および上下の速度ベクトル、および加速度ベクトルを入力とし、ビデオから判別した寝返り、起き上がり動作をラベルとした機械学習によりこれらの動作を識別できる可能性を得ている。 夜間覚醒やせん妄発症に伴う自律神経活動バランスの変化や乱れを検出するためには、心電図拍動間隔時系列の周波数情報が必要となる。一方でスマートウォッチやベッド面装着センサーから得られる心拍情報は、心電図拍動間隔時系列と比較して時間分解能が低いため、センサーから得られる心拍情報の周波数解析は自律神経活動バランス評価に適さない。スマートウォッチで測定される心拍情報と心電図の同期測定を行い、心電図R-R間隔から算出される自律神経活動バランス指標をスマートウォッチの心拍情報から算出される時間領域指標を用い、機械学習による回帰モデルを作成した。これによりスマートウォッチやベッド面装着型バイタルセンサーを活用した高精度の自律神経活動バランス評価により、夜間覚醒や自律神経活動バランスの乱れの早急な検知への応用が可能となる。

    Medical workers who work in medical facilities and patients who live in the medical facilities are all placed in a stressful environment. For healthcare workers in the advanced medical department, we grasped the fact that there is no space for food and rest during work, and this was a priority item for improving work environment. Also, by introducing art, we were able to clarify the UK medical space and management organization that alleviates the anxiety of patients and enhance the treatment effect, and have gained knowledge for the spread of art into medical space.

    An interdisciplinary study team was formed in collaboration with the Nursing Department and the doctors of the Chemotherapy Department of Nagoya City University Hospital in order to develop a study ofpatient clothes worn by hospitalized patients. In this study, we focused on easy removability and improvement of recovery willingness of patients based on the fact-finding research of the current conditions ofpatient clothes. The purpose of this study was to advance our development and study of patient clothing designs that apply retractility brought about by a traditional technique in Nagoya City, Arimatsu-Narumi Shibori(tie-dyeing). The achievements of this study are as follows: （1） Proposal of patient clothes for mid and long term medical treatment based on previous research on patient clothes and treatment environments both at home and abroad （2） Extraction of cases regarding basic patient clothes structures and designs that achieve easy removability （3） Production and verification of patient clothes prototypes that apply Arimatsu-Narumi Shibori（4） Public announcement of the developed patient clothesdesign

    General hospital medical staves in pediatrics ward need environmental settings for sick children. But there are not organizations in their hospitals for providing patients and their family with comfortable interior design. Patients, their families and nurses in ward have different needs for their environment under medical treatment. So, pediatrics ward have to be set with comprehensive points of view.

    We have conducted the researches in Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands in 2000. We have done them in U.K. the Netherlands, and Italy in 2001. We have done them in Sweden, Finland, and France in 2003. We have done comparative analysis and consideration, then reported them at the international conference in 2003. Research items are school management style and system, relationship with community, surroundings, school planning and space organization, school design, teaching and learning style, furniture layout in classroom, and children's behavior. We focused on the relationship between software such as management and education, and hardware such as school planning and classroom and other learning spaces. The main theme of the research considerations are follows for international school's reform. 1.Individualization and diversification in learning to change spaces 1.Application of information technology to learning and facilities 1.School design and space feature regarding living environment 1.Community use of school facilities and spaces We have presented the research results at the conference of AIJ (Architects Institute of Japan) from 2001 to 2003, also presented at CEFPI conference in 2003 for exchanging ideas with architects and researchers.

    We conducted an investigation into the calamity correspondence capability of the children of a foreign family register who attended elementary and junior high schools in Japan last year. We also gathered relative information about the disaster prevention education in overseas schools, and visited the fire-fighting organization and schools in Brazil as part of that information gathering. We chose Brazil and Taiwan as the countries for investigation, and investigated their schools this year. We chose these countries because, in the case of Brazil, Disaster measures have progressed little, and, in the case of Taiwan, it is a country with experience in earthquake disaster. By comparing these countries and Japan, we examine synthetically how factors, such as race, history and culture, educational plans, school construction plans, and human attributes, influence children' s faculty during a fire. In Brazil, although five schools in Sao Paulo were inspected, if looked at from the position of fire safety, it would be hard to say that they have sufficient safety in terms of both building design or equipment. The following was understood in investigation. The teacher's were not learning special knowledge or technology about fire prevention / disaster prevention education, and the schools were not carrying out fire drills etc. Moreover, a course map investigation and fire knowledge questionnaire survey was conducted on a total of 1092 students in three schools. As a result, the following things were understood. Generally, Brazilian children hardly understand the danger of flames or smoke, method of refuge, etc., about the flow of smoke, or opening-and-closing process of windows at the time of refuge, although there is fundamental knowledge about fire. On the whole, compared with Japanese people, the degree of fire knowledge of Brazilians is low, and whereas Japanese children tend to act as a group and listen to their teacher's instructions, there are many Brazilian children who act independently. In addition, there are also many Brazilian children of Japanese descent who have visited Japan and so act somewhere between the two typical characters. They come to have space cognitive power nearer to Japanese people the longer they have stayed in Japan, as well as fire knowledge and action judgment etc.

    Concurrent with the change in modern educational philosophy and methodology, the National Educational Curriculum is being reorganized radically. According to these circumstances, the space formation of primary and secondary school architecture should also be reorganized in every aspect. Some thorough investigation works targeting on the comprehensive learning activities in typical primary and secondary schools were carried out and the methods for architectural planning for contemporary schools were discussed. Among the series of study and investigation works based on these points of view, following subjects were accomplished. 1) Study for the Space Composition from the viewpoint of New Curriculum 2) The typology studies for the stereotype of the comprehensive learning activities 3) The Development Study on the Models of Architectural Planning of the Primary School. 4) The Development Study on the Models of Architectural Planning of the Secondary School.

    The purpose of this paper is to ascertain children's faculty for safety during fire escape. In the first year, we surveyed children's route choice, fire safety consciousness, knowledge, behavior and spatial cognition at eight school-community complexes, and in the second year we surveyed children's safety faculty for fire escape and their personality, at three schools with our questionnaire. The results are summarized as follows : 1. The ratio of routes away from the fire increases in proportion with the age of the children. 2. The majority of children have basic fire safety knowledge, but more than half the children do not understand smoke flow and whether to open or shut windows in a fire. 3. Having spatial cognition influences the judgment of a correct route to some extent, but it is not a determining factor. 4. Most children in a fire during recess tend to act in a group with their teachers. 5. The children's behavior during fire escape is influenced by their personality, faculty, and attitude. 6. Children who are deliberate in their actions and who are uncooperative, will take refuge immediately. 7. Children whose prediction/judgment and social etiquette are high, will wait for instruction from their teacher. 8. Fire safety knowledge/behavior and personality are no different between schools, but are different between classes.

    小中学校におけるオープンスペースは、児童生徒の主体的学習を促進する具体策として期待が大きいが、直接体験を重視する実習活動を円滑に行い得るか否かは重要課題である。 本研究では実習活動を中心としてオープンスペースの存在が特別教室の使い方や利用率にどのような影響を与えるかの実態を知ろうとするものである。 1978年以来個性化教育の実践を積み重ねているオープンスクール、東浦町立緒川小学校を調査対象とし、1年間学校運営のサイクルの中で16日間について、授業中の児童の活動場所と学習活動内容を記録した。 これらの結果以下のようなことがわかった。1)一斉授業の割合は低学年ほど、反対に調べ学習の割合は高学年ほど高い。実習の比率は学年で差がない。2)各スペースの利用率は、普通教室については低学年ほど高く、特別教室・オープンスペースは中・高学年程高い。3)普通教室では一斉授業が大半を占めるが、全体で10%弱の授業は紙工作などの軽い実習作業が行われている。4)オープンスペースは主に実習と調べ学習が行われるが、床仕上げの違いにより実習内容が異なる。高学年ではラ-ニングセンターでの調べ学習の頻度が高い。5)中・高学年で主に使われている特別教室については、定期的に使われる音楽室・和室を除くと、オープンスペースではできない理科実験・調理実習・木工作などに使われている。 以上よりオープンスペースやそれに隣接する普通教室が従来の特別教室の機能のある部分を担っていると考えられる。またこれに関連して、生涯学習等で需要の高い社会教育施設の活性化の方策を探るため、基礎的研究を行った。

    During the project year, various types of surveys and analysis were conducted on the planning, design and management of renovations and redevelopment of campus facilities such as the open space environment redevelopment and the extension of university central library. 1. Analysis on the Effectiveness of Open Space Post-Occupancy Evaluation (POE) was carried out on the redevelopment of Green Belt, which is the major open space of Nagoya University Higashiyama Campus, to clarify the issues on redevelopment program. 2. Analysis on Wayfinding and Legibility within University Central Library POE on the spatial legibility was carried out in relation to book finding behaviors of library users. A simulation system on movements and behaviors of library users was developed to be used to point out issues on extension program and the required signage planning built environment. 3. Development of CAFM System A Computer Aided Facility Management (CAFM) System has been developed to enable a rigorous way for data collection needed in the facility redevelopment. 4. Analysis on Campus Vibration Environment Various sources of vibration are found on a university campus, ranging from construction works, vehicular movements, mechanical installations, to earthquakes. And the transmission route of the vibration may vary as footing ground, foundation, to building structure. An analysis support system has been developed to cope with above intricate vibration environment.

    市民生活に密着した社会資本としての地域施設は、利用者がより質の高いサービスを享受すべく、アクティビティの高い運営とそれに関連した施設計画がなされるべきである。本研究においては従来の建築計画では十分とらえられてこなかった動的な施設の活動状況を把握すべく、施設の活性化を論ずるための指標を得るために病院、劇場、学校、社会教育施設を対象として施設に関連する運営状況をとらえた。 病院においては、従来規模計画などで用いられてきた病床数や手術室の利用率に代わるものとして、入院や検査の回転率を重要な指標ととらえ、それに関連する在院期間の長短が病院運営に重要な影響を与えることを指摘した。劇場を対象とした研究では、演劇公演における制作業務の組織と内容を調査することにより、質の高い芸術公演の基盤整備のためには芸術ホール自体の建設以上にそれを支える制作業務に関わる人・スペース・運営とホールとの密接な関係が必要であることを指摘した。学校を対象とした研究においては、体験的に自ら学ぶ学習活動に焦点を絞り、従来のオープンスペース・特別教室・普通教室のあり方を再考し、実習スペースを総合的に見直すことにより、活発な学習活動を支える条件の一端を提示した。社会教育施設を対象とした研究では、新規利用者と定着利用者の利用特性を把握することで生涯学習基盤としての施設のあり方を追求した。 以上のように、本研究においてはいくつかの地域施設の活動状況を施設種毎の視点から把握し、施設を活性化するための建築的条件の一部をとらえた。さらにこれらの指標の共通化を図ることで施設種をこえた横断的研究に発展させることが可能である。
